A Stroke of Creativity is the original online creative community for people living life after stroke. This group welcomes people back to the practice of creativity. Remember creativity runs through our lives in many forms but if you are feeling a bit rusty then this is the group for you!
The experience of stroke can have an impact on the way we process our thoughts and emotions. The creative process is an effective, explorative and fun way to express yourself when you are learning to live with the changes a stroke brings to your life. Together we will explore drawing, painting, collage, poetry reading, story-telling and more as a means to explore your creativity and express your thoughts and emotions.
We will identify starting points using materials and concepts and from here you will identify and develop your own creative voice. You will be surprised at what you discover about your abilities.
Join us in this online community and find a sense of belonging amongst a group of others who have had a similar experience to you.
A Stroke of Creativity - Thursdays Matariki This term our online stroke art sessions will focus around Matariki. Matariki is the cluster of stars that rises in the night sky to symbolize the beginning of the Maori New Year. It’s a beautiful and important time of year that signifies the changing seasons and planning for the year ahead. . It’s a time to reflect on the past, look to the future with hope. This term we will focus on aspects of Matariki and explore them creatively through painting, drawing and more |
