A Stroke of Creativity - Wednesdays 2022
Wednesday Tutor Cath O'Brien |
A Stroke of Creativity is a creative online community for people living life after a stroke.
The experience of stroke can have an impact on the way we process our thoughts and emotions. The creative process is a transformative, explorative and fun way to express yourself and can be of great support as you are learning to adapt and accept the changes a stroke may bring
Each week as a group we will explore a different creative concept with the aim of developing our own unique creative voice and expression.
Together we will draw, paint, collage, construct, assemble, arrange, collect and more. The space welcomes any art form including photography, music, poetry, film and story-telling.
The sense of creative community is the driving force behind the group and the group provides invaluable support for one another through sharing their individual experience.
Join this online community and find a sense of belonging amongst a group of others who have had a similar experience to you. Partners and support people are very welcome.
A Stroke of Creativity - Wednesday Matariki This term our online stroke art sessions will focus around Matariki. Matariki is the cluster of stars that rises in the night sky to symbolize the beginning of the Maori New Year. It’s a beautiful and important time of year that signifies the changing seasons and planning for the year ahead. It’s a time to reflect on the past, look to the future with hope. This term we will focus on aspects of Matariki and explore them creatively through painting, drawing and more. |
